Busan Old Downtown & South Coast

For practical visits, split the area into a Jungang Station–40 Steps–Daecheong-dong history walk; the walkable Nampo, Gwangbok-ro, Jagalchi and Bosu market and bookshop lanes; the Gamcheon hillside reached by bus; and Songdo's separate coastal bus zone. The outdoor 40 Steps, its indoor culture center, and the main and annex museum buildings are different venues.

Busan Old Downtown & South Coast

Nampo, BIFF Square, Jagalchi and Gwangbok-ro are relatively flat to explore on foot. Gamcheon Culture Village is a steep residential area reached by local bus from Toseong Station; Songdo is a separate bus trip. Since August 2026, visits to residential sections of Gamcheon have been limited to 09:00–18:00, and some tourist vehicles are restricted.
