West Busan: Myeongji Ocean City & Eco Delta Visitor Belt
A practical three-part guide to Gangseo's newer western neighborhoods: Myeongji Ocean City's estuary-facing bird lookout and coastal greenway; inland Myeongji International New Town's Starfield City for food and indoor family time; and Eco Delta City's Delta-ru observation facility farther inland. These are NOT a continuous walking route, and the separate Daejeo/Macdo ecology parks and Eulsukdo belong to other ecological belts.

West Busan: Myeongji Ocean City & Eco Delta Visitor Belt
Treat this as a selection of separate short visits, not 'walk all of west Busan in one afternoon'. For outdoor nature choose the flat seafront/estuary promenade and watch birds without entering protected tidal flats; for poor weather or families staying locally use Starfield City Myeongji, which is not adjacent to the shore; for new-city orientation consider Delta-ru only after independently confirming opening. Bus- or car-based transfers are needed between anchors; there is no single metro stop for the entire belt.
New & interesting
URGENT October 2026 visitor correction: K-water's notice dated October 6 says Delta-ru Observatory is CLOSED October 7–18 because of roadworks on the approach. Normal hours on its January 7 notice are weekdays 10:00–17:00, Saturdays 10:00–12:00, Sundays/holidays closed; older Saturday 15:00 guidance is outdated. The Myeongji seafront and Starfield City remain separate alternatives; a temporary closed observatory is not a reason to cancel all of Gangseo.
