Busan Choeup–Sajik: Forest Reservoir and Baseball

Two neighboring but distinct inland Busan experiences: Choeup in Busanjin-gu for the wooded Children's Grand Park and Seongjigok Reservoir; and Sajik in Dongnae-gu for Lotte Giants baseball culture and the sports complex. Treat them as separate stops linked by bus or taxi, not a single continuous pedestrian attraction.

Busan Choeup–Sajik: Forest Reservoir and Baseball

A half-day without a game is best spent around Children's Grand Park entrance, forest deck and the historical reservoir; educational buildings require their own schedule checks. If attending a baseball game, organize the day around the ticketed stadium time and the subway Line 3 Sajik/Sports Complex access. Moving between the Choeup reservoir and Sajik is a transit segment, especially for children or people with limited mobility.

What's new

New & interesting

In 2026 Busan announced a public-takeover program for the long-closed The Park zoo inside Children's Grand Park, with 2027 full reopening stated as a goal rather than a completed opening. Visitors should not follow older zoo blogs. At Sajik, recent visitor discussions warn that some matches sell out and Korean online ticketing can be difficult for foreigners; consult official match schedules and ticket terms instead of assuming walk-up seats.
