Yeongju Punggi Ginseng Festival 2026

The 2026 Yeongju Punggi Ginseng Festival runs October 3–11 at Namwoncheon Stream and Punggi Ginseng Park in Punggi-eup, Yeongju. Official visitor information lists daily hours of 10:00–20:00, free general admission and paid fees for some activities. The program includes ginseng-related rituals, competitions, performances and participatory events. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism notes that some currently displayed food descriptions are from 2025 and 2026 menu details are still being updated, so do not treat older menus or performances as confirmed for this year.

53rd Silla Cultural Festival 2026

The 53rd Silla Cultural Festival runs 9–11 October 2026 around Bonghwangdae, Woljeonggyo and downtown Gyeongju. Hwabaekjeon is a 40-minute performance on 9–10 October at Woljeonggyo, with about 100 performers; Silk Road Festa, Moonlight Nanjang and Hwarang Hip-hop Festa are also planned. A Gyeongju City release lists six commercial districts, 36 sales spaces and about 1,300 dining seats for Moonlight Nanjang, plus 321 citizen festival operators and 19 citizen-led projects. The city history reports 120,000 visitors in 2024 and 83,700 in 2023; these are not 2026 forecasts. The roughly 155,000 figure for 2025 is tied to the concurrent Silk Road World Festa and is not directly comparable. Official sources differ on times: the city release gives a 13:00 start for some activities while the festival timetable and Gyeongju tourism page show 15:00; Hwabaekjeon is listed as ending at either 19:30 or 19:40. Check the official day-of notice.
