62nd Wonju Arts Festival 2026

The 62nd Wonju Arts Festival is underway across Wonju from October 6–18, 2026. The city says the opening ceremony and concert will take place at 5 p.m. on October 10 at Chiak Arts Center, featuring poetry, dance, musical drama, theater, opera and choral music. A joint arts-exchange performance with artists from Hefei, China, is scheduled for 4 p.m. on October 16. Associations in seven fields—including traditional Korean music, theater, music, entertainment arts, photography, literature and visual arts—are presenting performances and exhibitions. Kangwon Daily reported that a photography exhibition opening and awards ceremony took place at Chiak Arts Center on October 7, with the related exhibition continuing through the 11th. Events are spread across venues, so choose a specific date and location before traveling. 2026 6th Chuncheon Pet Festival

The festival runs 9–11 October 2026, 10:00–18:00 each day, around the Chuncheon Animation Museum (854 Baksa-ro, Seomyeon, Chuncheon). Chuncheon City says Friday (9 Oct) includes an open practice session, a 50-team Petlympics with advance or on-site registration, and the 17:00 outdoor film “A Cat’s Housekeeper.” Saturday (10 Oct) features the Skyhounds international qualifier, a ceremony and dog yoga, plus the 17:00 outdoor screening of “The Secret Life of Pets.” Sunday (11 Oct) centers on the agility national-team promotion contest and a morning dog walk along Uiam Lake. Capacity-limited activities include 300 advance-registered walking teams, 30 dog-yoga teams and 10 beginner-agility teams per day; check registration availability first.
