Choi Jong-tae’s Question — Discovering Beauty, Records for Creation

The opening exhibition for Daejeon’s Choi Jong-tae Exhibition Hall presents about 70 works and archival materials spanning sculpture, painting and documentation by Daejeon-born modern sculptor Choi Jong-tae. The current Daejeon Museum of Art exhibition page lists April 1–October 18, 2026 at the former Daejeon Creative Center site, with free admission. Thinking or Calculating — National Science Museum Special Exhibition

Time of Grass — Seong Min-woo

A five-work exhibition by artist Seong Min-woo in Daejeon Museum of Art's Open Storage exhibition room, running September 8–December 20. Over more than 20 years, the artist has worked with grasses found along roads, vacant lots, riverbanks and fields; this show considers ecology, disappearance and the relationship between nature and people through ink, color, gold and silver pigments on silk.

D-Universe: Daejeon Night Double-Decker Loop Bus

Daejeon's official seasonal double-decker loop bus connects Daejeon Station East Plaza, Hanbat Arboretum and Expo Science Park Mulbit Plaza. Phase 1 runs Sep 18-Oct 11 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 17:30-22:30; the official notice says there is no service during the Chuseok holiday and lists replacement service Nov 13-15. Phase 2 runs Oct 16-Nov 8 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00-21:30. Fare is KRW 1,000 per person, cash only; preschool children and people age 65+ ride free. The Daejeon Station East Plaza boarding point is about 300 m from the previous stop location, so check the official map before boarding.

Time Mirror: Travel Back to the Beginning of Clothing

A free interactive pop-up in the National Science Museum Natural History Hall 2F Human Gallery, running September 22–November 29, 2026. Visitors stand before a digital mirror and move through clothing changes across Korea, France, the UK and Japan back toward prehistoric leather clothing, then can save a personal time-travel video by QR code. The official exhibition notice says walk-in participation is allowed. Rechecked October 5: the museum currently lists general visitor hours as 09:30–17:30 with ticketing closing at 17:00 and normally closes Mondays, Lunar New Year and Chuseok day; these are museum-wide access rules, not a separate timed session for this pop-up.

Temiorae Residence No. 1

Repairing Time, Connecting Memory — Temiorae Residence No. 1

A free exhibition in Temiorae Residence No. 1 from October 1–December 31, using traces left on old objects to revisit time and memory. The project brings Temiorae together with the Ministry of National Defense Agency for KIA Recovery & Identification and creators Sanago, Haan Atelier, Mongjungdagwa and Temminute. Temiorae's published operating guidance is Tuesday–Sunday 10:00–17:00, with current October holiday exceptions announced separately.
