2026 Daegu Living Culture Festival

The 2026 Daegu Living Culture Festival, themed “Living Culture Open House,” runs October 10–11 from 12:00 to 18:00 each day at the Daegu Living Culture Center and Hwarang Park (153 Manchon-ro, Suseong-gu, Daegu). The organizer’s September 28 notice lists club performances (including bands, Korean traditional music, choirs and dance), hands-on activities such as face painting, small instrument making and decorating cultural postcards and fans, a family-and-children play zone, a free photo booth in the center’s first-floor lobby, participatory photo spots, and displays of club photos and archival videos. An August 24 selection notice named 31 participating clubs, but the final number performing on site and visitor counts are unconfirmed. Official notices do not state admission fees, advance booking, a detailed session timetable, or parking arrangements for general visitors. Do not treat parking guidance addressed to participating clubs as a visitor rule; check the latest notice before going.

6th Daegu Tteokbokki Festival 2026

Daegu Buk-gu’s 6th Tteokbokki Festival runs October 23–25, 2026, around Daegu iM Bank Park. The Ministry of Culture lists daily hours as 11:00–21:30 and admission as free. On October 6, Buk-gu described this year’s approach as “3 No’s” (no formal ceremony, celebrity-led acts or long queues) and “3 Yeses” (intergenerational appeal, visitor participation and local partnership). Planned features include games, dance, quizzes and Bbogi-character activities, plus an improved “Come In” QR ordering system. A report on October 6 said attendance exceeded 330,000 last year, but did not explain the counting method. Buk-gu says it will not commission a separate attendance-counting study for 2026, directing that budget to visitor convenience and onsite operations. Vendor names are due October 12; the lineup, detailed timetable and transport/parking plan are not yet confirmed.
