4th 2026 Yuseong Reading Festival
The 4th 2026 Yuseong Reading Festival is a free, two-day reading-culture event on Oct 10–11 around the east plaza of Yurim Park. A news report quoting the organizer says about 10,000 people attended last year; that is 2025 attendance, not a forecast for 2026. This year's program is described as 72 activities across 10 categories, including an outdoor library with 879 books, a 487-book exhibition, book exchange, reading activities and a reading quiz. The opening program is announced for 18:00 on Oct 10 with popera, poetry, performances and fireworks. Event-guide listings give overall hours of Sat 11:00–21:00 and Sun 10:00–17:00, while the official library page specifically confirms the outdoor library closes at 21:00 Saturday and 17:00 Sunday. General admission is free; selected author talks required separate applications. As checked at 18:00 KST on Oct 9, applications for Sonmi (Oct 10, 11:00), Lee Bohyun (Oct 10, 12:00), Im Eunhyeok (Oct 10, 14:00) and Jung Jiwoo (Oct 11, 11:00) were closed; Choi Eun-young's Oct 11 talk was also closed, and the Godaeyoung children's session and waitlist were full. Walk-in or cancellation seats were not confirmed; call Yuseong-gu Integrated Library at +82-42-611-6629 before going. The park address is confirmed as 27 Eoeun-ro, Yuseong-gu, although one secondary guide lists 22; search for “Yurim Park East Plaza” on a map. Guides estimate an 11–13-minute walk from Wolpyeong Station and describe limited parking, so transit is preferable. Naver search was blocked by robots.txt during this check. Three independent non-Naver advance guides were compared, but they predate the event and do not provide firsthand crowd or onsite reports.

Because the festival starts tomorrow, first check whether any talk has walk-in or cancellation seating; published application windows have closed. The park setting supports a flexible visit focused on book exchange, outdoor reading and exhibits, with the Oct 10 18:00 opening or Oct 11 children's programming as schedule anchors. The full festival hours, parking and any traffic controls were not confirmed in an official consolidated notice, so recheck the library notice and transit route before departure.
