2026 Naju Yeongsan River Festival

A five-day autumn festival hosted by Naju at Yeongsan River Garden. It runs October 7–11, 2026, from 11:00 to 21:00 daily; general admission is free. Set against the river and autumn garden, the program includes opening and closing performances, drone and fireworks shows, a musical showcase, the Yeongsan River Riverwave Water Show, Moonlight Symphony, a river-themed pavilion, KidZania in Naju, an agricultural fair, food hall, family activities and local food. The venue is Yeongsan River Garden, 757-1 Yeongsan-dong, Naju, Jeonnam-Gwangju Special City. Inquiries: +82-61-339-8594. Free admission does not mean every food item or activity is free. An October 8 report citing Naju counted about 90,000 visitors on opening day and described a flower garden of about 120,000 pyeong (about 397,000 m²). This is a one-day attendance figure, not a forecast for the full festival. Daily schedules and activity conditions can change, so check the organizer’s latest notice before leaving. The official festival blog lists free direct shuttles from Yeongsanpo, Naju City Hall/downtown and Bitgaram, plus temporary parking areas. First and last shuttle times differ by route; check the route timetable and follow on-site traffic control.

Why it matters now

The festival is underway on October 8 and runs through October 11. On October 8, Asia Today, citing Naju, reported about 90,000 visitors on opening day and a flower garden covering about 120,000 pyeong. This is a reported first-day count, not a 2026 full-festival forecast. A 2025 news report citing Naju put the prior year’s attendance at about 520,000; that too is a past result. Three Naver posts by different authors were compared: two visits before opening shared observations of wide cosmos/yellow-cosmos gardens and substantial walking distances; one opening-day visitor described a large walking area, staffed parking guidance, and food and rest areas. A quiet pre-opening visit does not represent festival-period crowds, and one parking report is not a guarantee. Wear comfortable shoes and check the official free shuttle and temporary-parking notices. Naju’s tourism page now links a leaflet and program file updated October 8; because individual times were not independently read from the image, confirm the detailed stage schedule with the organizer before departure.
