2026 Fall K-Royal Culture Festival

Korea’s flagship royal-palace heritage festival runs October 7–11, 2026 across Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung, Deoksugung and Changgyeonggung palaces plus Jongmyo Shrine. The official timetable mixes exhibitions, reenactments, guided walks, hands-on programs and night experiences; program hours vary by palace. The earliest listed festival session is Changdeokgung’s “Awakening the Morning Palace” at 07:30, while an October 11 Changdeokgung Moonlight Tour session starts at 20:10 and runs 100 minutes. Some programs are walk-in, while others require advance reservation.

Why it matters now

Sunday, October 11 is the festival’s final day. Deoksugung’s Gilnori parade is scheduled for 13:00 and 16:00 (50 minutes each). The Jongmyo Guard Patrol Ceremony runs 15:30–16:30 at Jongmyo’s outer gate and square, overlapping the 16:00 Deoksugung parade, so choose one rather than trying to see both. The Deoksugung Jeonggwanheon seminar (14:00–15:30) overlaps the 13:00 parade and leaves little time to transfer to Jongmyo. The four-palaces-and-Jongmyo stamp tour runs 10:00–17:00; activity sheets and keepsakes are first-come, first-served. Participation and admission rules vary by program and palace; check the official schedule and notices before setting out for cancellations or reservation requirements.
