30th Jeonju Hanji Culture Festival 2026
The 30th Jeonju Hanji Culture Festival runs October 8-10, 2026 at the Korea Traditional Culture Center in Jeonju. Jeonju Tourism lists free general admission, while the 2026 festival theme ‘Now, HANJI’ frames hanji not only as inherited craft but as material for contemporary daily life, culture and industry. Current confirmed program categories include exhibitions, hands-on activities, the National Hanji Craft Competition, the National Children’s Hanji Art Competition and international hanji programming. Some detailed cards on the festival website still show 2025 dates, so individual 2026 session times and reservation rules should be checked separately.
The festival opens next week and the 30th edition explicitly asks visitors to look at hanji as a current material rather than only a historical artifact.
