A free exhibition about Gijang's fishing communities, women divers, fishing tools and archaeological heritage, beginning with Oh Young-su's novel 'Gaetmaeul'. Sep 8–Dec 6, 2026, at Jeonggwan Museum's first-floor special exhibition hall, 122 Jeonggwanjungang-ro. Open Tue–Sun 9:00–18:00 (last entry 17:00); closed Mondays with holiday exceptions. The museum, not the coastal village, is the exhibition venue.

Why it matters now

The exhibition is open in October 2026. A Sep 30 museum notice changes the linked children's programme: Nov 21 proceeds, Dec 19 does not. Educational sessions may require separate applications; ordinary exhibition admission is free.
