2026 Royal Palace Guard Patrol — Saturdays in Gyeongbokgung, Sundays in Insadong

During the autumn season (Sep 5–Nov 29, 2026), the royal guard patrol takes place on weekends and public holidays 15:00–16:00, weather and route permitting. On Saturdays it proceeds inside Gyeongbokgung Palace via Geonchunmun, Hyangwonjeong, Gyeonghoeru and the main palace area; regular palace admission is charged separately. On Sundays and public holidays the public outdoor route starts at the Gwanghwamun forecourt, passes Songhyeon Green Plaza and Insadong Culture Street and returns. The moving reenactment is separate from the static guard-changing ceremony; public viewing requires no separate event booking.
