Reading at Seonhyangjae in Changdeokgung's Secret Garden

Oct 7–18 (on open days), 10:30–16:30: Seonhyangjae inside the Secret Garden opens for reading, with first-come bookmark kits for children 12 or younger. This is not free walk-in access. A general palace ticket plus a separately timed, capacity-limited Secret Garden ticket is needed (official standard adult guide: KRW 3,000 palace and additional KRW 5,000 Garden; exemptions differ). The palace normally closes Mondays, including Oct 12, unless an official holiday exception applies. It takes 5 minutes from Anguk Station Exit 3 to the palace and at least another 15 minutes from Geumhomun Gate to the Garden entrance. In October, Garden entry tours are in English Tue–Sun at 10:30, 11:30, 14:30, 15:30, and in Japanese Wed/Fri/Sun at 13:30. These are limited-capacity Garden entry sessions, not reading-program times. Online tickets usually go on sale 6 days before a visit at 10:00; same-day tickets from 09:00 may sell out quickly. Availability, cancellation and accessibility not confirmed.
